Why We Need to Nap
Because we are tiredTiredness is one of the most common day-to-day health complaints of our time as we take part in the biggest sleep deprivation experiment ever conducted.
Because we’re spending more hours at work
Australia has the second longest working hours of the OECD. These hours are more intense than ever before leaving us with less time personal time and mental space to rest and renew.
Because it’s dangerous and costly to try and work when tired
We are less productive and more likely to make mistakes and cause accidents when working through the afternoon slump. Fatigue is as dangerous as being drunk.
Because it keeps us sane
Napping requires us to stop, and stopping gives us time to reflect, get perspective and remember what’s most important in life.
Because it’s humane
Sleep deprivation is a form of torture.
